Hello, and welcome to Music! My name is Mr. B, and I am the music teacher and band director at Oneida Elementary School. I see every student in Kindergarten through 4th Grade once a week for music class. I also direct the 5th Grade Band. We have so much fun in the OES music program through singing, dancing, playing instruments, and learning about the elements of music!
About Mr. B
I am a proud native of Scott County, and I have lived here my whole life. I attended Fairview Elementary from Pre-K to 8th Grade, and I graduated from Scott High School in 2017. I then attended Berea College in Kentucky, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in music education.
I started my teaching career here at OES in January of 2022. I love working in the Oneida Special School District, and I enjoy every part of my job. In addition to teaching general music, I direct the OES 5th Grade Band, and I assist with the Oneida High School Pride of the Tribe Marching Band. My favorite part of this job are my students, and I look forward every day to making music together!
Outside of school, I enjoy playing trumpet in the Oak Ridge Community Band, singing in the church choir, playing piano, reading, watching TV, and spending time with my family.
