My name is Amy Ellis.  I am so excited that your child will be in my class this year. To begin with, I'd like to share some information about myself with you all.  I am a mother to 2 daughters.  Kaelie is 27, recently graduated from TN Tech with a Bachelor's in interdisciplinary studies and has her Master's Degree in education.  She currently works as a 3rd grade teacher at OES.  Lacey is 11.  She is my strong willed, whirlwind of a daughter.  She will be in 5th Grade this year. Lacey and I have 2 fur babies, Rosie and Cleo.

I graduated from Scott High School in 1996. I attended Roane State for 2 years before transferring to Lincoln Memorial University.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2003.  I began teaching KinderStart that same year at OES.  I continued my education at TN Tech University and earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2008. I switched to Kindergarten soon after I taught KS for 6 years. I taught 1st grade for 2 years. I moved to 4th grade last year and taught ELA. I am teaching 4th and 5th Grade ELA this year. This will be my 21st year at OES!
