Hello! My name is Tristin Rector. I have been teaching in the Oneida Special School District since 2009. I have taught one year of 6th-grade reading and social studies, five years of Pre-K, and 6 years of first grade. This will be my third year providing ESL services for English Language Learners in our district. I also work with Literacy in the elementary school.
I am a 2004 graduate of Oneida High School. I received my bachelor's degree from Tennessee Tech University, early childhood endorsement from Middle Tennessee State University, and my master's in education as a reading and writing specialist from the University of the Cumberlands. I completed my ESL endorsement through Tennessee Tech. As an educator, I strive to stay on top of current best practices so that I may be as effective as I can for my students. I love to learn and I want them to love to learn as well!
When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband, Seth, and our kids. I am a mom of 4, stepmom to 2, and I love watching my kids in all of their sports and activities! My husband and I also enjoy traveling when we have the time.
